Okay, I found someone else who'd done the meme and #3 is Dune, Frank Herbert.

Which I totally read because, as an undergraduate, our faculty advisor for the SF club was a Herbert expert. Dune was cool. The other books in the series got progressively more surreal, however. *sigh*
