Memeage for a Sunday night

Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. [livejournal.com profile] ancarett gave me "D" so here goes.

1. DD. That'd be my youngest daughter. No, that's not her legal name, but it's a damn good nickname (even though she has informed me that she doesn't like it, or her given name).

2. Dogs. I may currently own cats, but a part of my heart will always belong to the big, hairy, drooling mutts. No, not men, dogs. *g*

3. David Hewlett. Oh, come on, you can't tell me this one was a surprise. *g* And I do believe the man needs no justifications.

4. Dancing. Didn't say it had to be something I'm good at. Just said it has to be something I love.

5. Dodos. Specifically the ones in Ice Age. The only birds dumber than partridge.

6. Drag. Not drag queens. The over-the-topness of drag queens has always sorta squicked me. But good drag, mmm. That moment where you're not sure if it's a man or a woman? Very cool in my book.

7. Dante. Anyone who could come up with the idea of giving hell levels must have been a Florentine. What I wouldn't give to get a look inside that man's mind. At least I can read his works.

8. Death, the Black. I have always been fascinated by the Black Death. And no, I don't think that's morbid at all. Just ask poor [livejournal.com profile] ancarett. She had to read at least three papers I wrote on it. Sure makes for interesting dinner party conversation though.

9. Data. Hee, twofer! Yep, I love both Data, the ST:TNG character, and all those wonderful bits of knowledge. God, I am such a dork.

10. Dorks! What's not to love? Geeky, kinda smart, hopeless in social situations, way too informed about pop culture ... dorks are the new black, baby! Wear one with pride.

I suppose I could continue with further ruminations, but I'm tired. So, there's my ten. Drop me a comment and I'll give you a letter ... probably tomorrow.

Oooooh, nice list. Funnily, enough I agree with every one of those.

And I want to play.... give me a letter, my sista.

Shhh. I didn't go to bed yet. But I'm going now, honest.

Oh, and your letter is "S". Have fun!

Now, see, I can tell that life is good lately by the upbeatyness of this list of yours! (Are you on the bed with the laptop right now? And no, that's NOT a perverted question! Who do you people think I am - [livejournal.com profile] history_gurl?)

Yep, on the bed, with the laptop, and Miss Scarlett. Um, I mean ... nah, that's as pervy as it gets right now. *bg*

And your letter, should you choose to accept it, is "T".

Good night!

Even though I missed the whole "laptop on the bed" thing, I'm up ultra-early and ready to play.

Hit me, baby!!

I moved my office downstairs. Now, if I want to use the laptop in my room, I have to sit on the bed and cuddle its amazing laptopness. See, nothing pervy to see here, nothing pervy at all. (Well, if you don't count me sitting in my bed with a warm laptop on my lap, reading porn. Nope, no perviness here).

Oh, and your letter is M.

Honey, perviness and HG go together like peanut butter and jelly... like gin and tonic... like Fred and Ginger... Barney and Fred.

Like top and bottom ... S and M ... in and out? Huh, guess that proves your point, doesn't it? *g*

Neat meme! Gimme a letter. :)

It is kinda cool, isn't it?

Hmmm, for you, I choose "C". Have fun!

I don't usually do these things, but what the heck, it sounds like fun.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I had that damn work thing happening again.

I was thinking I'd give you the letter "O" just so I could see you write Oz ten times in a row, but I changed my mind.

Your letter shall be ... "P". And you should be really grateful I didn't take DD's first suggestion, which was Q. bwahahahahahahah!

And you should be really grateful I didn't take DD's first suggestion, which was Q. bwahahahahahahah!

For DD, because I love a challenge, and I couldn't have done this with X - (in no particular order)
(1)queer folk, (2)Queer as Folk (the UK version because the US one wasn't as good), (3)Quint (from Jaws), (4)Querns' replacement (at the end of OZ Season 4a - "I'm back" - were more beautiful words ever spoken?), (5) quitting (can be a good thing), (6) quilts as art, (7)Queen (the rock band), (8) quoting ("Oz", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "The Godfather"), (9) quizzes (the online personality kind), and (10) questioning authority

The "P" list is on my page. (Right now, I think you're just grateful you didn't assign me "M")
