Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you list 10 things you love that begin with that letter.
ancarett gave me "D" so here goes.
1. DD. That'd be my youngest daughter. No, that's not her legal name, but it's a damn good nickname (even though she has informed me that she doesn't like it, or her given name).
2. Dogs. I may currently own cats, but a part of my heart will always belong to the big, hairy, drooling mutts. No, not men, dogs. *g*
3. David Hewlett. Oh, come on, you can't tell me this one was a surprise. *g* And I do believe the man needs no justifications.
4. Dancing. Didn't say it had to be something I'm good at. Just said it has to be something I love.
5. Dodos. Specifically the ones in Ice Age. The only birds dumber than partridge.
6. Drag. Not drag queens. The over-the-topness of drag queens has always sorta squicked me. But good drag, mmm. That moment where you're not sure if it's a man or a woman? Very cool in my book.
7. Dante. Anyone who could come up with the idea of giving hell levels must have been a Florentine. What I wouldn't give to get a look inside that man's mind. At least I can read his works.
8. Death, the Black. I have always been fascinated by the Black Death. And no, I don't think that's morbid at all. Just ask poor
ancarett. She had to read at least three papers I wrote on it. Sure makes for interesting dinner party conversation though.
9. Data. Hee, twofer! Yep, I love both Data, the ST:TNG character, and all those wonderful bits of knowledge. God, I am such a dork.
10. Dorks! What's not to love? Geeky, kinda smart, hopeless in social situations, way too informed about pop culture ... dorks are the new black, baby! Wear one with pride.
I suppose I could continue with further ruminations, but I'm tired. So, there's my ten. Drop me a comment and I'll give you a letter ... probably tomorrow.
