So, yesterday, in his interview with people who were NOT LJ users, Barak Berkowitz said

"the company would "obviously apologize" to anyone whose journal was deleted in error but added: "That's going to be a very small minority of the sites. I would be shocked if it's more than a dozen." source

And yet, today, he posts in [livejournal.com profile] news that LJ is unsuspending approximately HALF of the journals they smacked around in their ill-advised, poorly planned and shoddily executed attempt to banish pedophiles.

Oh, Barak, that wasn't just a little 120 volt shock, was it? Wonder if his hair has curled yet.

So, I wasn't planning to wade into any of the latest kerfuffle, but I feel compelled to share this with any of my f-list who somehow hasn't managed to see it yet.

[livejournal.com profile] fandom_counts is tallying to number of LJ members who belong to fandom. Go, read the user info, join if you feel the need. I, personally, am interested to see what percentage of their customer base is being alienated by the purge.
